Women in Aid & Development welcomes members to support our objectives and participate in our activities. This is a summary of the detail in the constitution. Check the constition here if you want to know more and the constitution prevails if this website information deviates in any way.

There are three categories of members – check out below what membership means to you.

Applying to be a Member

Becoming a member is easy. Simply complete the member form and send it to the Secretary by email or mail. Once received the board will review and approve your membership and the Secretary will inform you of the outcome and add your name to the membership register when they receive notification that you have paid the applicable Membership fee.

Resignation & Non-Transference of entitlements

A Member of the Association ceases to be a Member of the Association if the person:

  • dies, becomes mentally incapacitated, or is declared bankrupt;
  • resigns their membership in accordance
  • is expelled from the Association; or
  • fails to pay the annual membership fee within 3 months after the fee is due.

Membership rights cannot be transferred to another person on resignation or cessation of membership. Once a Member resigns their name is removed from the Member Register.

Member Liability

The liability of a Member of the Association to contribute towards the payment of the debts and liabilities of the Association or the costs, charges and expenses of the winding up of the Association is limited to the amount, if any, unpaid by the Member in respect of membership of the Association.
