The aid and development sectors are facing significant shifts. More conflict, reduced funding, and growing uncertainty. It’s no surprise many are feeling unsettled about the future of the sector and their place in it.
Whether you’re returning from overseas work, based in Australia, or just starting your career, you’re not alone. Many in the sector are experiencing similar uncertainty and concern. Reaching out and staying connected is more important than ever.
Women in Aid & Development is hosting a session led by psychologist Anneke Outred and journal writing coach Ingrid Jones. This session will explore the emotional toll of the current environment and how it affects both mind and body. We’ll discuss the role of self-regulation in managing stress and offer practical tools to help you move forward when you’re feeling overwhelmed or emotionally stuck. The session includes a hands-on activity, so bring a pen and paper.
Join us to hear from Anneke and Ingrid, share experiences, and connect with others in the sector. This is a time for community, support, and looking ahead together.
