Melbourne: Working in and with Government to advance international aid and development goals

  • Emerald Peacock 233 Lonsdale Street Melbourne, VIC, 3000 Australia (map)

Our event is focused on working in, and with, government in a range of roles.

Join us to hear from speakers who are working with government to:

  • develop policy and legislation

  • influence parliamentarians

  • fund and provide oversight of aid programs

  • monitor elections.

Speakers will also provide an insight into the motivation that took them into their current role, what helped their career advance, and the challenges they faced on their journeys.

The event will be a relaxed chat where you will have the opportunity to network with other women working in the aid and development sector over a glass of wine.

Cost: $20 for non-members, $10 for students and free for members

WiAD events follow CovidSafe settings. Attendees must be fully vaccinated or have a valid medical exemption unless they are under the age of 12 years and 2 months. It is recommended masks be worn on arrival and departure. We will continue to monitor the situation and will advise registered guests of any changes to health advice.
